Don’t Listen To Naysayers

It is difficult yet fulfilling to help others. To see them gather strength and fight back. However, we do come across those who despite NOTHING being wrong with them, use every excuse as to why they cannot and have not achieved their goals. They show up late, with attitudes, don’t eat correctly and are always looking to others to help them lose their genetic or medically produced body or belly fat. No matter how much you try to assist them, they have every excuse in the world except the realization of their poor eating, lack of eating and “social drinking” that is causing their downfall. Unfortunately, they live long lives while becoming a burden to their kids in their formative years. I always tell people I am happy with my health issues. This way I can tell a person to “suck it up” knowing that I have been in their shoes.
Now, I am not a warrior who has not shed tears from pain, anger and or resentment because of the situation I am in. We all have those days (including me), but if you want to better the situation you are in, you must stop all the pre excuses that hinder you from overcoming your ailment(s).
I take MANY meds that cause weight gain (including prednisone). I guess this rant started from my speaking with an individual who complained about their having a transplant. They told a person who was scheduled to have one that they; “will NEVER have a flat stomach.” This is not true and if we listen to these negative people, we will be just like them. Full of unjustified excuses used to hide their lack of, or willingness to do.
I am 53 years old and have a transplanted kidney in my abdomen. It is located less than 1/2 inch below my skin. I also have a mesh lining over it. By rule (if I used the excuse of others), I should have a large belly, bloated, and not close to a flat stomach. This is why I am sharing a photo. I am not doing this to brag or bring recognition to myself, but to give hope and proof that it can be done. I don’t do aerobics or crunches. I eat plenty of foods and train with intensity.
Rome was not built in a day, it took years to plan and eight years of construction. But after all these years, it is considered a masterpiece.
