For decades the waste recovered from water treatment facilities has been reprocessed and sold to farmers as agricultural fertilizer.
Sewage water is suitable for all of your plants. And in many cases after being properly processed can be consumed by humans. The nutrients in sewage include nitrogen and phosphate, which are very important for plant growth. When you use sewage water in plants, there is a high tendency for an increase in the metabolic activities of the soil because of an enhanced soil microorganism. It makes the soil POTENT.
Life can hand you a lot of shit. This being in sickness, bullying, lies, etc. These things we don’t want to touch, to deal with because of the nastiness and smell. To stand in shit or have it thrown at you (through words and wrongdoings) can seem at times inhumane and demeaning. It is thrown by others to dehumanize you by covering you with a substance people do not want to touch, turn their noses to and look at you as being “less than”.
Fertilizer is a different thing. People will touch and roll it in their hands to spread it amongst their plants and as ice melt. They pay for fertilizer when earlier they discarded it.
Notice when an animal poops in the grass when left, in time you will see grass come through and the blades of grass that come through will be taller and greener than the grass that was not covered.
I say when sickness comes or when people throw shit at you when you are standing in it and feel humiliated. When others look at you and laugh because you are covered with a product that was eliminated from the byproducts and the bowels of those who want to destroy you. Don’t fear. Stand there and enjoy the smell. Plant your feet firmly and let the process begin. For you are being inadvertently anointed by the sickness, and you will grow from it………From their shit.
My Grandmother once said to me; swim in it, but don’t drink it and you will be ok.
What she was saying is sometimes you will have to swim or walk through a lot of stuff. Debt, heartaches, sickness, loneliness, but keep going through and as long as you keep your head above it and not ingest it, you will not die.
My favorite animal is the ox. The ox in pioneer days cost more than other animals. It was sought not only for its strength but for its grind. Oxen, no matter what you would have them pull, they would. They would go through shit and mud, and never stop pulling. They would fall to their knees and yet keep grinding. The only reason they would stop, was because if their heads went down while pulling through the mud, they would suffocate and die. This is why the yoke was created. It distributed the load. It was placed on the neck of the oxen and looked uncomfortable, but it wasn’t. The yoke was designed to keep their head up for when they went through the mud and shit in life. They were ok because the yoke would not let them drink it. The yoke would keep their head above while they were going through the shit. And while their legs churned the mud and the plow went through; after the moisture was removed and the seeds were sowed, vegetation grew.
I now understand what she was telling me. She knew I was a fighter and would fall to my knees while grinding through this life. I had been through sickness as a child so she placed upon me the yoke of love and inspiration so I would keep my head up while going through the shit. And I grew.
